Some Hands

Here are some hands, finally:

This one was pretty standard the bad part is that via the betting I knew he had aces, but I always have trouble folding preflop.  Would anybody else be able to get out here?  I know I should have at least.  Maybe I had too much money in to fold, though.

Well, I had this post up while playing, not writing on it, but just so I could update after big hands.  So pretty much tonight sucked.  When I was hitting, no one else was, but when the chips went it, I lost it.  Right now I’m sitting at a cash table and I only have about $17 in my account.  Should I see this coming?

I guess maybe a KJss would be possible, but damn.  I guess with my small role at playing at these limits I might not have a chance at building the roll.  I understand that I’m not the best player around, but I think that even if you are great, at this level you need a really good cushion for these kinds of blows.  We’ll see how the cash game pans out for the rest of the night, but I don’t know if I can reasonably come back from this blow.  I guess we’ll see.

Hand 1: You need to be raising bigger. Notice all the people following you into the pot after you make is 180 to go? Shove when he 3 bets you.

Hand 2: Fold preflop. You need to be playing tight in these early stages of a STG. As played it was fine, you just got unlucky.

Bankroll management is an important part of poker. With $17 you’re not rolled for any game I know of. Stars has a 2NL I believe, you could try those, but you’re not even really rolled for that. Try and get some more money into your roll so you can play more comfortably.

yep its tough with th kk a bigger raise and then you would know what youre playing against

like malinois said sngs are about being tight early on sometimes i wont play a hand for the first 2 levels youre not going to win the sng in the first 4 levels but you certainly can lose it
