Trying Stars
Well I took the advice given in the comment from my first blog, and I started trying stars for sng’s. I have definitely noticed a difference, though it has only been 10 tournies. I think the players here are much weaker. There seems to always be several of the maniac players who will see every single flop and overbet the pot like crazy. I have made $20 and for me, that’s pretty good (though it took some time to adjust a little to the different style of players). Although I don’t get rakeback at stars I don’t think that the lower level of players and the nice blind structure make it worth it. Again, only on really day of playing, but I kinda like it. I think my goal is to get my roll to about $175 then withdrawal $75 again. I know this will be slow, but at least it will force me to get good and beat the competition at a lower level so I’m more ready when it comes to the $10 games. We’ll see if I play more this weekend. Haven’t had much time with the fiancee lately.

Good Luck with the SNGs it is a great way to build a bankroll. I also agree you should keep at least 30 buyins for SNGs at least till you are confident in your ROI. Maybe wait till you reach $250 to withdraw your profit and you will still have a safe roll. Post your Pokerstars Screename and we can see you on sharkscope
